    JohnPicoFaceMr. Pico has been advising automobile dealers since 1972 and through four decades has completed over 1,000 automobile dealership transactions. In 1982, he retired from the practice of law to specialize in advising dealers buying and selling dealerships, and has been employed by dealers, lenders, courts and investors to consult in a myriad dealership purchase and sale transactions whose combined values exceed One Billion Dollars!

    Mr. Pico has served as the “Court Appointed Consultant to Debtor” in bankruptcy cases, the “Court Appointed Mediator” in automotive disputes, the “Court Appointed Arbitrator / Appraiser” in partnership disputes, the “Court Approved Consultant to Receiver” in a check-kiting case, as a “Superior Court Mediator” in dealership/lender litigation and has been recognized as an expert witness on both State and Federal levels.

    Mr. Pico has consulted on upside-down positions of over $50 Million, out of trust position of over $4 Million and a bank overdraft of $30 Million.

    Mr. Pico authored the nation’s first book on Buying and Selling Automobile Dealerships. A recognized expert in the field of buying, selling and investing in automobile dealerships, his automotive articles have appeared in over one hundred fifty countries and have been published in ten different languages.     Education: Mr. Pico began his undergraduate work at Long Island University’s C.W. Post Campus, in Brookville, New York and completed it at Chapman University, Orange, California, where received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science. Mr. Pico was pursuing his Master of Arts at Chapman when he left to obtain his Juris Doctorate (Doctorate of Law) from University of California, Hastings College of Law, San Francisco.
