AUTOMOTIVE BACKGROUND:
Mr. Pico has spent more than a decade consulting on purchases, sales, valuations and out of trust workouts for automobile dealerships. He began his career in the industry in 2006 as a consultant with Automotive Advisors of America, Inc. (Sonoma, CA), where his principal responsibilities included research, analysis and drafting of prospectuses for the purchase or sale of automobile dealerships. Mr. Pico also participated in several business closings involving both foreign and domestic dealerships.
Mr. Pico now serves as outside counsel to Advising Automobile Dealers, LLC, (Corinth, TX). In his own capacity, however, he has acted independent counsel to a number of dealers and dealerships with respect to both administrative matters and litigation.
In addition to legal educational classes and seminars, Mr. Pico has attended numerous seminars and classes regarding the operation of new car dealerships, such as 20 Groups, NADA classes, and industry roundtables.
NON-AUTOMOTIVE BACKGROUND:
While at Mercer, Mr. Pico clerked in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia from 2016-2017; at the USAO where he assisted with the prosecution of numerous federal law violations such as embezzlement, identity theft, narcotics trafficking, firearm possession, solicitation of minors and human trafficking.
PUBLIC SERVICE:
While at Johns Hopkins University Mr. Pico was a member of its NCAA D-1 lacrosse teams, that competed in three Final Fours and Two Championship Games and was a member of the undefeated NCAA Division 1, National Champion team that the President had to the White House, in 2005.
Today, in addition to he and his wife raising two daughters, Mr. Pico spends much of his recreational time giving back to the community by serving as a lacrosse coach for various youth, high school and college programs. Mr. Pico has:

assisted with the University of North Texas {UNT} Varsity Lacrosse team
-
developed the lacrosse program (Varsity and JV) at Southlake Carroll, Southlake, TX and coached the Varsity team
-
launched the first high school lacrosse team in Macon, GA (Stratford Academy), and
-
currently helps grow the sport in Tarrant County, TX in his representation of the CHAOS Lacrosse program.
